Show signs of recovery of the ozone layer

Earth's ozone layer that lines from cancer-causing ultraviolet rays showed signs of thickening after years of thinning, such as the UN study revealed.

Ozone hole above Antarctica seen also stopped bigger every year.

Reports say it took a decade before the rest of the hole will shrink.

Experts say recovery is against the political will to reduce CFC gases that destroy ozone.

The results of this study published by researchers from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).

"International action on ozone laptsan is a success story of environmental issues ... and this should encourage us to do the same or a greater effort to address the challenges of climate change," said WMO Secretary-General Michel Jarraud.

Dr. Ken Jucks of the United States space agency Nasa told BBC News that the man "has started doing something right to restore the atmosphere like before the start of the industrial revolution".

The experts can not be sure that the hole will recover by itself. Prof. David Vaughan of the British Antarctic Seurvei BAS said the results of experiments performed his organization gives new hope to the discovery of the WMO.

"We have to be careful, but it seems to be good news," he told BBC News. "Our data from Antarctica process requires several weeks but we hope to ensure that discovery. If it is accurate, it can suppress the potential power in the international agreement."

However, a good signal of the ozone layer was not followed by the greenhouse gases that cause climate change. WMO said this week greenhouse gases in the atmosphere reached record highs.
